Bursary Applications - Increased Limits Now Available
The ‘Gloucestershire Academy of Music’ Bursary fund is available to all students up to the age of 18 years at the beginning of the academic year being applied for.
Students can now apply for up to a maximum of £550.00 - conditions apply.
Although financial circumstances are taken into consideration, all applications are considered on an individual basis also taking into account the students aptitude for music making.
New and existing students can apply at any time of the year for assistance with term-time fees, and/or those to attend a holiday music courses with Gloucester Academy of Music. The application forms can be requested from our office or downloaded by clicking here. All applications should be returned in a sealed envelope marked 'Confidential' and addresssed to 'The Bursary Committee.
WE’RE RECRUITING FOR AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR – Deadline for applications: Monday 29 May 2017
This is a great time to join GAM, our new Chair and highly respected Director of Music as we work towards our mission to bring down barriers to classical music opportunities.
We are offering £30-35KFTE for a 0.6 contract (22.5 hours per week). It’s a fixed term contract to 31 August 2018 but the right candidate will be able to work with us to make this post sustainable long-term!
We are seeking a strategic, confident senior manager with organisational and team development experience. You’ll have experience in successful business planning, income generation (raised and earned income) and budget management. As an excellent communicator with proven negotiation skills, you will be driven by a belief in the power of music and/or the arts and a commitment to equal opportunities.

Monday String Zone @ Gloucestershire Academy of Music
In September 2016 Gloucestershire Academy of Music launched String Zone, the county's main string centre for all string players of grade 5 and above to Advanced level. Gloucester Academy of Music now offers a Junior department in Gloucester on a Saturday morning and in Cheltenham on a Saturday afternoon.
In Cheltenham we offer Singing & Rhythm Groups, Choir, String Ensembles and Chamber Music
