Gloucester Academy of Music Training Orchestra & GAM Senior dept.
Our new Training Orchestra at Sir Thomas Rich's school,Thursday evenings and our Monday evening Senior dept at 11a both have plenty of spaces. GAMTO is for Grades 4 to 6 - any orchestral instrument - no audition necessary. Our Senior dept at 11a welcomes string players of Grades 5 to 8 plus to a variety of choices from chamber music, string technique, ensemble playing & includes Prima Corda for the higher grades. Harmony School & AB Exam Centre new at 11a.
We are very pleased to anounce that Jayl de Lara has commenced teaching with his Harmony School at GAM's premises on evenings during the week.
Harmony School offers a wide range of opportunities, also having set up a new base at 'The Angel', Ruardean.

John Stillman, jazz teacher, is also coming to 11a with some of his pupils this term, and we are now an official ABRSM Exam Centre for Gloucester.
These things are all major steps in our aim to widen the use of our building and broaden the base of what is on offer at 11a Westgate st.

We welcome back to teaching here, our Founder, Caroline Lumsden, also Hannah Green & Andy Prouse, all to our Saturday team.
Autumn term off to a good start.
We are delighted that our Autumn term sees the largest number of Junior students starting with us since we moved to the centre of Gloucester in the Spring of 2007. Our Senior department and the new Gloucester Academy of Music Training Orchestra are also going well, but plenty of spaces for more students! If you are interested just get in touch with our office and ask for more details.
GAM Holiday Courses 2012
The list of Courses and dates for 2012 is now out elsewhere on this site. New for next year: Adult String Orchestra Course at Easter for Grades 1-5 running for the same dates as the Adult Chamber Course which will be for Grades 6 and upwards. Look out for Early booking and other generous discounts available.
2012 - 30th Anniversary of our founding.
In 2012 we celebrate 30 years since our organisation was founded as Beauchamp Music Group, at Churcham. In honour of this, and in view of the present financial climate, we have decided to hold our existing Term-time session and Holiday Course fees at the same prices as for 2011. HOWEVER, we continue to need lots of support for our fund raising events throughout the coming year. Please watch out for news of coming events.
